Topics covered include: fashion, beauty, health, fitness, relationships, motherhood, entertainment, careers, finance, philanthropy, public policy issues and more.  The cover story in each issue is written on a local inspirational woman. 

MavenMag launched the site for its first city, Philadelphia, in June of 2007.  The concept is the brainchild of Laura M. Rossi who created the site in response to her own frustration over a lack of quality local information on all that young professional women seek when they enter the work world, move to a new city, or move into the next phases of their lives after college such as: graduate school, marriage, children and more.
